A Tradition of
Inspiration

It's no secret that the Okanagan Valley in "Beautiful British Columbia" is home of some of the finest fruit grown in all of Canada. Inspired by all this wonderful fruit and the striving wine-industry and -tourism Jorg Engel saw the lack of a distilled product.

Rooting from Southern Germany he decided to start a distillery like it was his ancestors' tradition. He and his wife Anette formed Maple Leaf Spirits Inc. which got its final license in March 2006, becoming the first fully licensed Distillery in the South Okanagan.
