Born in 1962 Jörg Engel grew up in south-west Germany. After his apprenticeship as a cabinet-maker and several other experiences in social organizations and other handcrafts he founded his own company 1988. In 1993 he became a master craftsman for cabinet-maker. He is married and has three children.
